Karaka Estate has been developed to an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. This is the ideal setting to create inspired moments, for story tellers. Perfect for introverts and extraverts. It also has one of those kitchens where you look at it and go - I never knew it could be this fabulous to be in a kitchen, kinda kitchen. Karakia Estate is perfect for small, personalised writer's retreats and is a delightful compliment to our on-line teaching programme, Masterclasses, workshops and inspiration for creative writing. We welcome Wellness and Writing retreat enquiries for 7 days, for small groups up to 10 at Karaka Estate. There are some really gorgeous walks in this area - so our Retreat Itinearary includes many free and helpful ways to stay fit, and healthy with local knowledge of the walking and cycling paths near by.
