Wake up with to the sound of chickens in the morning in our cozy self contained cottage with solar heated hot water, and a wood fire for heating in the winter, this small cottage is comfortable, relaxing and warm with all day sun. The king size bed is super comfortable or it can be converted into two singles. Enjoy having a swim in the salt water pool during the summer – which is also solar heated, and sitting in the salt water spa in the evening watching the stars - the sky here is fabulous. We grow most of our food on the property so your breakfast will be delicious freshly cooked croissants, jam/honey (our bees), eggs from the willing hens (which you can help feed), bacon, cereal and fruit juice presented in a basket , you can then cook at your leisure - no rush to get out of bed - gluten free - no problem. Ideal for Golfers - chose the nearby Otaki Golf Course, or head further South to enjoy Waikenai, Paraparaumu or Kapati Golf Courses. Only 5 minutes drive to the supermarket, cafes, golf, tramping, beaches, and Otaki shopping outlet including Kathmandu, Icebreaker, Bendon. Just 50 minutes drive to Wellington to catch a ferry or plane. Plenty of tourist attractions - Kapiti Island, Nga Manu Bird Sanctuary, Tuatara Beer Company, Paraparaumu Golf Club, Otaki Forks bush walks.
